Esther Carolin
Esther studied English and History of Art at the University of Leeds, following this with a Masters in Art History at the University of Sussex. In addition to working at Crane Kalman Brighton gallery, Esther has spent time at the Contemporary Art Society and been involved with working for a not-for-profit visual arts commissioning organisation. Esther currently works for ...ment, a journal for contemporary art, culture and politics, and as a tutor and facilitator at art workshops that encourage community cohesion while providing opportunities for participants to learn news skills and develop their creativity.
Tarini Malik
Tarini studied history of art at the University of Edinburgh with a year spent studying at the Sorbonne in Paris on scholarship. Tarini has supported the work of various galleries and museums in London, Paris, New Delhi and Johannesburg. Over the last year she was involved with the work of a young curatorial directive that promotes emerging to mid-career artists as well as working on a Museum Acquisitions project at the Lisson Gallery in London.
Vijay Patel
Vijay is a recent graduate from the Slade School of Fine Art, where he was awarded the Grocers' Company Queens Golden Jubilee scholarship. As well as developing his interest in arts curation, Vijay is especially keen on new collaborative interdisciplinary practice. He was recently invited by Channel 4 to produce a collaborative artwork with presenter Matthew Cain for their forthcoming arts series The Science of Art. He has previously been commissioned by Ralph Lauren and invited by Tate Modern's Live Art curatorial team to create a painting for Katerina Seda's 'From Morning to Night' live action.
Olivia Spooner
Since graduating from the University of Sussex with a degree in English Literature, Olivia has been working as a free-lance photographer’s assistant and steadily gaining exhibition experience. Working for The North Laine Photography Gallery incited her interest in the curatorial process; in particular, one in which the interests and goals of the artist are put before profit. Olivia is an avid street photographer, her image The Northern Line is currently being displayed in the London Transport Museum’s exhibition 'Sense and the City'.
Jazmin Taylor
Jazmin graduated in Fine Art from the University of Kent; within this degree she studied History & Philosophy of Art. A six month internship followed at Stour Valley Arts- a non-profit organisation based in Ashford, Kent. Jazmin is a keen painter and her practice explores the physical, emotional and gestural aspects in portraiture and the conscious or unconscious behaviour of the subject. In January 2012 her work was exhibited at Art Palm Beach 2012 by exhibitor Christopher Walker Art-London. She is interested with the curatorial processes and undertook a curator's apprenticeship at Mapalim, which led to the collective Inter Alia.
